Production Supervisor

Introduduction:

A rapidly growing European company, producing industrial steel parts mainly punched, bended and welded for various applications, is expanding its operation here in Cebu and is currently in need of a Production Supervisor.

The successful candidate will be trained in Europe on various production processes for a maximum duration of one year. The training program in Europe is mainly composed of welding, painting, CNC machine operation, programming and maintenance.

On-the-job Training Duties and Responsibilities:

• The candidate while being trained will also be mentoring and leading a group based on the knowledge gained.
• The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the output of the Production and improving performance through coaching and mentoring.
• The candidate will coordinate and work with Team Supervisors/Leaders in identifying improvement in work processes, efficiency and productivity.
• The candidate will be responsible for managing the overall flow of the Production line.
• The candidate should ensure all targets are met by monitoring performance levels measured in real time.
• The candidate will be ensuring that all training and development needs of the operation staff are met.
• The candidate will be regularly consulting with the General Manager (GM) concerning process improvements which will lead towards higher quality of output or increased performance.
• The candidate will be supporting and assisting employees in achieving the skills necessary to meet European Quality Standards

Job Requirements:
• A College Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management or Human Resource Management.
• Preferably with a minimum of 5 years working experience as a Production Supervisor or Assistant Production Supervisor from a metal industry.
• Ability to guide individuals toward goal achievement using negotiation, teamwork/collaboration, motivation and staff development skills including the ability to act as a role model within the organization.
• Possess strong ability to coach, develop action plans which maximize performance, and provide effective feedback.
• Possess excellent ability to demonstrate innovation and good judgment or problem solving skills when making decisions.
• Proven ability to analyze and improve work processes in the production environment.

• Possesses leadership skills
• Results Oriented.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

Specific Accountability

• Roll out performance management process including identifying low performers and work with Management team to address any employee performance issues.
• Provide advice and counsel on any employee relations issues for Shared Services and Market Unit.
• Co-ordinate and control OH&S matters, ensuring the Company maintains a safe place of work in accordance with OH&S legislation and company policy.
• Develop and implement HR Service level agreements with the head of Shared Services and the Market Unit and agree on HR objectives - short term/long term.

SKILLS REQUIRED
• Degree qualified in Human Resources or a related discipline
• 10+ years experience in managing HR functions
• A strong generalist HR background
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - English
• Experience in working a large of multinational organization.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
